Troubleshooting: "This email is not authorized for this portal"

If you try to sign in and get "This email is not authorized for this portal", it means your email is not on your organization's team list.

Why this happens

The portal uses explicit team membership to grant access. Your email needs to exist on the team member list before you can sign in. Domain matching is not enough, even if your email ends in the same company domain as the admin, you still need to be individually invited.

The fix

Ask an admin in your organization to add you via the Team section of the portal. Once they click "Invite Member" and enter your email, you will receive an invite email. Click the link in that email, return to the portal, and verify with a one-time code.

If you used to have access

If you had access before and it was revoked, the error is expected. An admin can re-invite you with the same email to restore access. Past activity events still exist in the audit log even if your membership was removed.

If you are the admin

If you are the person who paid for the enterprise plan and you see this error, contact [email protected], the admin row should have been seeded automatically from your Stripe receipt.

Detailed reference

What you can expect

  • A clear explanation of why the error happens
  • The exact fix (ask an admin for an invite)
  • What to do if you had access and lost it
  • Escalation path for the original admin

Limits

  • Self-service recovery is not available, an admin must invite you
  • Domain-based auto-admission is not supported (intentional)

What to do

  • Ask any admin in your organization to invite your email
  • Check that you are typing your work email exactly as it is on your team list
  • If you think you should already have access, contact your admin first, then support

If something looks off

Contact [email protected] if you are the original paying admin and cannot sign in at all, or if an admin has clearly invited you but the error persists after 10 minutes.

Important context

Explicit membership is a security feature, not a limitation. Domain-based access would let anyone with an email at your company sign in without you approving them. Requiring an invite keeps the decision in your hands.
