1.Scope
These Terms of Service apply to everyone who uses VidScore™, including the Chrome extension, this website, and the Pro subscription.
- Chrome extension users (3-day access, Pro, and Premium)
- Website visitors who browse scores and profiles
- Pro and Premium subscribers billed through Stripe
- Anyone who accesses VidScore through our API or embed
If you use VidScore on behalf of a company, these terms bind that company and you personally as its authorized representative.
2.What VidScore Is
VidScore is an analytical tool. It evaluates publicly available YouTube video content and produces structured scores and findings based on our methodology.
It is not a legal service, financial service, or reputational authority. Scores reflect our analysis, not definitive truth.
3.Acceptable Use
You may use VidScore for personal research, brand monitoring, and content evaluation. You may not:
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest VidScore data in bulk without written permission
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract our scoring methodology
- Use VidScore output to harass, defame, or target individuals
- Resell or redistribute VidScore scores or reports without authorization
- Impersonate VidScore or claim affiliation with us
- Circumvent access controls, rate limits, or subscription gates
- Create multiple accounts to obtain additional free trials or circumvent subscription limits
- Automate extension usage in ways that exceed normal human interaction
VidScore uses device identifiers and email normalization to detect and prevent subscription fraud. Multiple accounts created from the same device to circumvent trial limits may be suspended without notice. Violations may result in immediate suspension without refund.
4.Accounts and Subscriptions
Pro and Premium access is billed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- You can cancel anytime from your account settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- We do not store your card number. Stripe handles all payment data.
- We may change pricing with 30 days advance notice to your registered email
Refunds are not issued for partial billing periods or for Pro access already used. Contact us within 7 days of a charge if you believe there is an error.
5.Scores Are Opinion
Every score VidScore produces is the output of a defined analytical methodology applied to publicly available content. It represents our interpretation, not a certified fact.
We make no warranty that scores are accurate, complete, or current. Content changes. Our analysis does not update in real time.
- Scores reflect a snapshot of content at the time of analysis
- Findings trace to specific statements but may be affected by context we cannot fully assess
- No score should be relied on as the sole basis for a business, legal, or reputational decision
6.Intellectual Property
Video content, thumbnails, transcripts, channel names, and all YouTube-sourced material are property of their respective creators and rights holders.
VidScore owns its scoring methodology, software, design, and derived analysis. You may not reproduce our scoring system or analytical framework without written permission.
"VidScore," the VidScore logo, and related marks are trademarks of VidScore LLC.
7.Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or misuse the service.
You can stop using VidScore at any time. The following sections survive termination: disclaimers, liability limits, intellectual property, and dispute resolution.
8.Limitation of Liability
VidScore LLC provides the service "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
Our total liability to you will not exceed the greater of (a) $50 USD or (b) the subscription fees you paid to VidScore in the three months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost revenue, lost data, or reputational harm, even if we were advised of the possibility.
9.Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, outside of court and outside of class action proceedings.
- Arbitration will be conducted under JAMS rules
- You waive the right to a jury trial
- You waive the right to participate in class action litigation
- Small claims court is available as an alternative for qualifying disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law principles. Venue for any permitted court proceedings is Massachusetts.
10.General Provisions
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
- Entire agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any applicable order form, constitute the entire agreement between you and VidScore LLC regarding the service.
- Assignment: VidScore may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent.
- Force majeure: VidScore is not liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, internet outages, or third-party service failures.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
11.Questions and Updates
We may update these Terms as VidScore evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
