What you can expect

Limits

How it works

Verification is initiated by a team representing the profile subject. The team submits information (such as an updated photo or description) which is reviewed manually. If approved, the profile receives a verified badge and the submitted information is displayed. Verification does not involve identity authentication. It confirms only that a team has submitted information.

All verified submissions are reviewed manually. Not all requests are accepted. Verified status may be removed if the team requests it or if the submission no longer meets guidelines.

Common misconceptions

• Equating a verified badge with identity confirmation. It indicates a team submission, not verified identity
• Assuming verified information is fact-checked. It is submitted by the team and reviewed for guidelines, not for factual accuracy
• Believing verification implies endorsement. It does not
