How Much VRAM Can Gamers Get Away With? 4GB vs. 8GB

The video directly compares the 4GB and 8GB versions of the Radeon RX 9050 across numerous games, highlighting performance differences and VRAM bottlenecks.

It also references the older RX 6500 XT as a point of comparison for 4GB VRAM limitations.

Steve clearly outlines the significant drawbacks of the 4GB RX 9050, including its reduced memory bandwidth and its OEM-only availability, while also acknowledging the 8GB model's limitations.

He explicitly states the product's issues without resorting to hyperbole or personal attacks.

Steve thoroughly tests the Radeon RX 9050's 4GB and 8GB variants across a wide array of modern games, detailing performance metrics and VRAM usage.

The video concludes with a comprehensive average performance breakdown and a discussion of the implications for future gaming.

Steve tests the Radeon RX 9050 4GB and 8GB variants across 18 different games, comparing performance at various settings and resolutions.

He explicitly details the methodology, including the use of benchmarks and side-by-side comparisons to highlight VRAM limitations.

Steve provides clear guidance, stating that 4GB GPUs are 'useless for modern gaming' and that the 4GB RX 9050 is a 'horrible product'.

He explicitly recommends at least 8GB of VRAM for modern gaming, even for a weak GPU like the RX 9050.

The host, Steve, presents the video from a well-lit studio environment with a consistent background setup.

The footage is stable and the audio is clear throughout the presentation.
